Providence Rest Home is the preferred home for the aged in KwaZulu-Natal
Providence Rest Home is a Christian care home for the aged, tucked away in a
tranquil safe area in Westville, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Our beautiful home offers easy access to all Highway and Durban areas including: Westville, Pinetown, New Germany, Kloof, Hillcrest, Waterfall, Durban, Morningside, Greater Durban Area.
In 2002 a group of forward thinking volunteers converted a home donated to The New Church Westville into a care home for their elderly parents. A section 21 not for profit organisation was registered, the directors are volunteers from the church.

Providence Rest Home is managed by a management committee and other volunteers. The day to day running is the responsibility of our Matron and Senior Sister and their team of 23 fulltime staff members, who provides around the clock care for our residents. The team is highly qualified and has many years of experience caring for the aged. The directors and management committee members provide guidance and support to the Matron and Senior Sister on a daily basis.
The home is run under a Christian Ethos, with our main purpose to provide a safe, loving and caring environment for the elderly in our community.
We have 11 comfortable rooms with en-suite bathrooms and currently 6 apartments in in beautiful garden setting. Another 6 apartments are being build of which the first three will be completed during July 2024. Construction of the last 3 units have started and target completion is November 2024.
